AARON WEST is the boy next door all grown up and singing his heart out. With a diverse acoustic pop sound and conversational lyrics, he is quickly making a name for himself in the San Diego music scene. A native of San Diego, Aaron mixes old rock with new pop, adds a dry sense of humor and a pinch of heartbreak into his music. Coming to a venue near you, Aaron can be seen and heard both here and on myspace. Aaron has 2 CD's out currently. The first, titled simply 'Aaron West' is a compilation of songs written in the fall of 2003. The CD takes a musical journey through Aaron's influences ranging from "Mraz'ian" funk to bluesy classic rock. "I really like this first album. Every time I play a show, fans all want to hear songs from this album...they all yell for Steve, but I think it's cool that I've heard people yell out every title from the album." Aaron's second CD titled 'Off the Market', was released only 6 months after the original. "Off the Market" features new songs and new recordings of songs from the "Aaron West" CD.
"People always ask me which song is my favorite. I never really know how to answer that, but I usually say that my favorite song to perform is 'Heavy like a Mountain.' The song really allows me to let loose emotionally and give in to the lyrics."
